CrossMark Policy

Last updated: January 24, 2026

ICR Publications is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record. To support this commitment, all journals published by ICR Publications participate in the Crossmark service provided by Crossref.

What is Crossmark?

Crossmark is a multi-publisher initiative developed by Crossref that enables readers to quickly verify whether they are accessing the current and authoritative version of a scholarly article. By clicking the Crossmark logo on an article, readers can view up-to-date publication status information and any changes that may have occurred since the article’s initial publication.

Our Commitment to Content Integrity

By applying the Crossmark logo to our content, ICR Publications affirms that:

We actively maintain the scholarly record for all published articles.

Any post-publication updates are communicated transparently and promptly.

Readers are provided with a reliable mechanism to assess the current status of an article.

Types of Updates Tracked via Crossmark

When applicable, Crossmark will indicate the presence of the following updates:

Corrections (Errata or Corrigenda) – Minor errors that do not invalidate the study’s findings.

Retractions – Articles withdrawn due to serious ethical, methodological, or integrity concerns.

Expressions of Concern – Notices issued while an investigation is ongoing.

Updates or Amendments – Clarifications or additional information relevant to the published record.

If no updates are listed, the article is considered current and unchanged.

Crossmark Metadata

In addition to update status, Crossmark may display selected publication metadata, including (where available):

Journal title and publisher

Publication history

Funding information

Peer-review status

Ethical approvals or policies

Licensing and copyright information

Scope of Application

This Crossmark Policy applies to all journals and scholarly content published by ICR Publications that are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref. The Crossmark logo is displayed on article landing pages and/or PDF files where applicable.

Responsibility of Authors and Editors

Authors are required to notify the editorial office promptly if they discover significant errors or issues in their published work. Editors will assess reported concerns in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies, COPE guidelines, and Crossref requirements, and will initiate updates through Crossmark when necessary.

Reader Guidance

Readers are encouraged to always access articles via the publisher’s official website and to click the Crossmark logo to confirm that they are consulting the most current and reliable version of the work.
